Virna Working

I am a skilled milliner and maker with a deep passion for crafts, an eye for fabrics and forms, and a meticulous attention to detail and trends.

Originally from a small town between Rome and Tuscany, my background in fashion and costume design brought me to the UK, where I fell in love with the world of millinery.

While studying for my prestigious HNC at Kensington and Chelsea College, I discovered a passion for textile art, fabric manipulation, and large props.

After graduating in 2013, I honed my skills under the tutelage of esteemed British milliners, including Philip Treacy, Jane Taylor and Piers Atkinson. I then transitioned into theatrical millinery, managing the studio at Rizvi Millinery TheHattrix and working on award-winning global productions

In 2018, I set up my first studio and began freelancing while working on developing my own line of fetish-inspired headwear.

I specialised in creating bespoke millinery, props and set design for a diverse range of clients, including Selfridges, Joshua Kane, Noor Fares and Cancer Research UK, as well as for fashion editorials, music videos, and film productions. I have had the opportunity to work with prominent artists such as Katy Perry and StefflonDon.

My dedication and skills have earned me recognition, including a QEST scholarship award in 2021 and membership with the prestigious British Hat Guild.

Currently, I am focused on establishing my fashion-forward millinery and accessories brand. While exploring new mediums such as metal, glass, and paper.

I am always enthusiastic about collaborating with artists, crafters, and fashion designers from all backgrounds.
